What you will learn

Build the application. Understand how it works.

A working PLC is only part of the project. Learn to build the operator interface and connect the pieces behind it.

01

Create operator displays

Set up a project, build screens, animate graphics and test your application in Runtime.

02

Connect to Allen-Bradley PLCs

Configure communication, work with tags and practise with simulation tools.

03

Reuse your work

Build global objects and faceplates, use parameters and create application macros.

04

Make alarms useful

Configure FactoryTalk Alarms & Events and log alarm history to an SQL database.

05

Work with process history

Create trends, archive data to files or SQL and configure recipes.

06

Control operator access

Set up users, groups and permissions for different parts of your application.

Is this for you?

Built around the work you need to do.

  • You program PLCs and want to build the SCADA application too.
  • You maintain a plant using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems.
  • You know another SCADA platform and need a structured introduction to FactoryTalk View SE.
