2. What SCADA World Provides
SCADA World provides online educational content for industrial automation professionals, including training related to HMI, SCADA, industrial communication, visualization, engineering workflows, programming, modernization, and related industrial technologies.
Depending on the product purchased, access may include:
- video lessons;
- downloadable training materials;
- exercises and project files;
- access to selected courses or the full SCADA World library;
- course updates;
- certificates or learning records, where offered;
- access for a fixed period, recurring subscription period, or lifetime access to the relevant product, where expressly stated.
The exact product, included content, access period, price, billing frequency, trial terms, and other material purchase conditions are displayed on the relevant product, pricing, and checkout pages before payment.
3. Educational Purpose
SCADA World provides training and educational content. The Services are not a substitute for: site-specific engineering analysis; functional-safety validation; professional certification required by law, a manufacturer, or an employer; manufacturer documentation; project-specific risk assessment; commissioning procedures; cybersecurity assessment; compliance with applicable industrial standards and regulations.
You remain responsible for independently verifying information before applying it to a live industrial system.
4. Original Content and Third-Party Products
SCADA World creates and licenses its own educational content. References to third-party companies, software, product names, trademarks, and technologies are used for educational and descriptive purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise: SCADA World is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Siemens, Rockwell Automation, AVEVA, Schneider Electric, or other third-party manufacturers; trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners; purchasing SCADA World training does not include a licence to third-party commercial software; SCADA World does not resell third-party commercial software as part of its training products.
5. Account Registration
Some Services require a user account. You agree to: provide accurate information; keep your login credentials confidential; use your account only within the licence scope of your purchase; notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Unless a team, company, or enterprise licence expressly allows multiple users, an individual account is personal and may not be shared.
6. Licence to Use Training Content
Subject to successful payment and compliance with these Terms, SCADA World grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the purchased training content for your own educational or internal professional purposes.
Unless we give written permission, you may not: redistribute course materials; upload lessons or materials to file-sharing services; sell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the content; share login credentials beyond the purchased licence scope; reproduce or republish substantial portions of the training; remove copyright, attribution, or proprietary notices; use SCADA World materials to create a competing training product by substantially copying our content.
Reasonable personal notes and practical application of skills learned in the courses are permitted.
7. Prices, Currencies, and Taxes
Prices may be displayed in different currencies depending on the product, country, checkout configuration, or payment provider. The final amount payable, billing currency, applicable taxes, billing frequency, and any recurring-payment terms are shown at checkout before you confirm the purchase.
Where required by law, applicable taxes may be added to or included in the displayed price.
SCADA World may offer different prices, promotions, or packages in different countries or markets. A price offered in one country or currency does not create a right to receive the same price in another market.
8. Checkout and Payment Providers
SCADA World uses third-party services to provide checkout and payment processing. Depending on the payment method and checkout currently available, these providers may include:
- ThriveCart - checkout, order-flow, and course/membership content delivery;
- Stripe - payment processing;
- PayPal - payment processing.
The payment options actually available to you are shown at checkout. Payment providers may process information necessary to authorize, complete, prevent fraud in, refund, or dispute a transaction. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply to their services.
SCADA World does not require customers to send full payment-card details directly to us by email.
9. Subscriptions
Some products are sold as recurring subscriptions. Before purchase, the checkout should display the applicable: subscription product; billing frequency; amount due; introductory or trial terms, where offered; recurring price.
Unless cancelled, recurring subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing interval presented at checkout.
You may cancel a subscription using the cancellation or subscription-management method made available for your purchase or by contacting lukasz@myscadaworld.com if you cannot locate the appropriate option.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless applicable law or our Refund Policy requires otherwise, cancellation does not automatically create a refund for a billing period that has already started.
10. Trials and Introductory Offers
A product may include a free or paid trial or another introductory offer. Where offered, the checkout will state the material terms, including: trial or introductory period; amount due during that period, if any; regular recurring price; renewal conditions.
Unless cancelled before the relevant renewal date, the subscription may continue automatically at the recurring price shown before purchase.
11. One-Time and Lifetime Access Products
Some products may be offered as one-time purchases or with "lifetime access". Unless expressly stated otherwise, "lifetime access" means access for as long as SCADA World continues to operate and make the applicable digital product available.
It does not guarantee that third-party software, product versions, operating systems, or external services referenced in a course will remain commercially available or supported indefinitely.
12. Digital Delivery
SCADA World products are delivered digitally. Access is normally provided after successful payment confirmation through one or more of the following: account activation; email invitation; access link; entitlement assigned to an existing account; another electronic method described at purchase.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address. If payment succeeds but you do not receive access, contact lukasz@myscadaworld.com.
13. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds are governed by the separate SCADA World Refund Policy: /refund-policy/
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived or excluded.
For digital content, applicable consumer law may allow immediate delivery to begin only after specific consent and acknowledgement. Where legally required, the checkout process may request that consent before immediate access is provided.
14. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for having suitable computer hardware, internet access, operating system, third-party software, licences, and technical environment required to follow the training.
Where a course uses third-party software, SCADA World may describe recommended versions or environments, but does not guarantee compatibility with every past or future version.
15. Availability and Changes to the Services
We aim to keep the Services available and useful, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. We may: update lessons; reorganize course content; replace outdated materials; add or remove features; modify platform technology; perform maintenance.
We will not intentionally remove paid access in a way that materially defeats the core purpose of an active paid entitlement except where reasonably necessary for legal, security, abuse, technical, or third-party dependency reasons.
16. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Services to: violate applicable law; infringe intellectual property rights; attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or infrastructure; distribute malware or malicious code; interfere with platform security; scrape or systematically copy protected training content; circumvent access controls; use another person's payment method without authorization; engage in fraud, refund abuse, or chargeback abuse.
17. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary if: payment is reversed, refunded, disputed, or overdue; you materially breach these Terms; account sharing exceeds the purchased licence; fraud, abuse, or a security risk is detected; continued access would violate law or third-party rights.
Where appropriate, we may give you an opportunity to correct the issue.
18. Intellectual Property
SCADA World course videos, graphics, text, exercises, project materials, website content, branding, and original educational materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence granted in these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
19. Disclaimer
The Services are provided for educational purposes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCADA World does not guarantee that: completing a course will result in employment, certification, income, or professional advancement; any example configuration is suitable for a particular production environment; training materials eliminate the need for engineering judgement, testing, safety review, or manufacturer documentation.
20. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Subject to mandatory law, SCADA World is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from the application of training materials to a live industrial environment, including production loss, downtime, loss of data, loss of profit, or equipment damage.
Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
21. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the SCADA World Privacy Policy: /privacy-policy/
Third-party checkout and payment providers process certain information under their own privacy notices.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect: changes to the Services; legal or regulatory requirements; security requirements; changes to service providers; new products or functionality.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting active subscriptions will be communicated where required by applicable law.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in the consumer's country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights granted by mandatory applicable law.
